Cody's ENT Check Up

We made the drive to Birmingham Monday for Cody's ENT appointment. His doctor said that his throat looked exactly the way he would expect it to a month after surgery. He also checked Cody's ear for any issues. He had a tube for over a year, but he hasn't needed in a long time. He had some scar tissue on his ear drum, but other than that, he looked great.

His doctor told us to call if we had any concerns or felt like Cody needed to be seen. That translates to no return appointment. I think I'm still in shock. Cody has had ENT appointments regularly scheduled for almost six years.

It's hard to put into words how that makes me feel. He's been through so much, and to know that he's healthier now than ever, and doesn't have any problems with his airway, is...AMAZING!

Homeschooling has been the best decision for our family. Brit and Cody are both healthier, happier people and we're a happier family. They both got sick, but Cody was sick WEEKLY from picking up crud from school. He was hospitalized countless times for dehydration, and needed countless prescriptions for antibiotics during those school years. Since we've started homeschooling, we know he's been much healthier, but to actually see that in such a tangible way is completely wonderful.
