Fleshy Flubber

It had been a while since we made some homemade Flubber and decided it was time to get our hands dirty :)  We had everything we needed except for the glue, so I picked some up the next time we were in the store.

Here's how to make it:

Add 1 1/3 Cups of warm water with 2 tsp of Borax. Stir until Borax is dissolved and set aside. In another bowl mix 1 1/2 Cups warm water with 2 Cups Elmer's white glue. Add food coloring until you get your desired color.  (I've also read you can use glow in the dark paint and make glowing Flubber!  We're going to have to try this next time!) Then add Borax mixture to glue mixture with your hands. Drain off excess water.  Have fun!!!

 Dissolving the Borax

Adding food coloring to make what we thought would be orange...ish Flubber.

It was kind of peachy colored so Cody added in some green

 and stirred and stirred.

Cody decided stirring by hand didn't make much sense when he could use one of these!

It ended up this flesh colored blob!  He was geeked!
If you know my son, you understand his happiness :)

 He played for hours!

We put it in a quart mason jar and it's sitting out on the counter.  He's gone back to it so many times and played.  He LOVES this stuff!  It currently has a meat injector sitting in it which is sinking in and looks likes it's being devoured.  Good times!
