Now, I don't have a tried and true sugar cookie recipe. I can make a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies though:) When we've made sugar cookies in the past, I've looked for the easiest recipe on the computer. Clearly that's not a good idea. I did a quick search this morning and found a recipe that sounded good for today's project and we got to work.

The dough was INCREDIBLY sticky. I mean, we couldn't touch it...so we added more flour. And more flour. And more flour until we could work with it.
And made these.

By then the dough didn't even taste like cookies anymore. Blah. So the kids pretty much played with it for hours. They had so much fun:)

Great minds think alike, huh? Me and the girls made the same recipe from the same site last night except we used the non-chocolate version. With the recipe, ours tasted too much like baking powder/soda so we didn't eat them either but they loved making them and they played with the last "dough ball" for over an hour before I finally made them throw it away! We miss you guys!!
